On Thursday, a significant milestone was achieved in promoting and expanding the Quran Family Club’s Learning Management System (LMS) at Bahauddin Zakariya University (BZU). A series of productive meetings were held with key academic figures, each of whom recognized the system's potential and pledged their support in integrating it within the university and affiliated institutions.
The first meeting occurred in the Computer Science Department with Professor Dr. Israr Hanif. During this session, the LMS and its application were introduced in detail. Dr. Hanif appreciated the initiative, acknowledging its effectiveness in digital learning and its potential to enhance Quranic education among students. He suggested leveraging the University Quran Forum as a platform to reach all students across the university, further facilitating the system’s adoption. Moreover, he assured his support in promoting the LMS across various educational institutions.
Following this, a comprehensive discussion was conducted with Dr. Rehana Kausar, Chairperson of the Department of Commerce. Recognizing the LMS’s significance, she immediately took steps to inform all faculty members and encouraged them to introduce it to students within their respective departments. Her proactive approach underscored the importance of integrating digital Quranic learning tools into the university’s academic ecosystem.
A series of classroom sessions and a seminar hall presentation were then held under the guidance of Professor Dr. Asad Ur Rehman. These interactions provided an opportunity to introduce the LMS to a broader student audience, making them aware of the benefits and accessibility of the platform. The response from students was overwhelmingly positive, with many expressing enthusiasm about engaging with Quranic learning through a structured and modern digital approach.
The most strategic discussion was conducted with Professor Dr. Abu Zar Khalil, Chairman of the Arabic Department and Coordinator of the University Quran Forum. This meeting focused on the implementation of the LMS, structuring the syllabus for Quranic studies, and establishing a streamlined registration process for faculty members. As a result, it was agreed that an official letter would be issued to all faculty members across the university, its sub-campuses, and affiliated colleges, ensuring widespread adoption of the system.
The overwhelming support and commitment from these distinguished academics signify a major step forward for the Quran Family Club’s LMS. With the endorsement of key faculty members and the backing of the University Quran Forum, the LMS is now positioned to become an integral part of Quranic education at BZU. This initiative will not only facilitate structured and accessible Quranic learning for students but also strengthen the digital academic landscape of the university.
I extend my heartfelt gratitude to all the esteemed professors and faculty members who have embraced this vision. Their support is instrumental in making Quranic education more accessible and structured for university students. With their guidance, we are confident that this initiative will continue to grow, benefiting thousands of students in their pursuit of Islamic knowledge.
The Quran Family Club remains committed to fostering digital learning platforms that bring the beauty of the Quran to every learner. The road ahead is promising, and with the collective efforts of university educators, administrators, and students, we are set to achieve remarkable success in integrating Quranic education within academic institutions.
